HC Ready
To be able to enroll in classes at Highlands College you will need to attain “HC Ready” status. HC Ready means that you have completed all requirements for finances, housing, and your final confirmation. Below are the steps to become HC Ready:
1. Get Financially Cleared
- Apply For Scholarships
- Apply For Financial Program
- Pay Semester Balance
2. Get Cleared for Housing
- Submit the Housing Application
- Submit the Housing Agreement
3. Complete Your Final Confirmation
- Submit Final Transcripts
- Submit Vaccination Records
- Submit Medical Clearance Form
HC Ready Priority Date
July 1, 2025
Spots in the 2025 Freshman Class are limited. To officially lock in your spot we encourage incoming students to complete all housing, financial, and final confirmation requirements by this date.

100% of students who complete the scholarship application receive financial resources as our heart is to invest in your future and your calling.

Financial Program
The financial program application process assesses a family’s demonstrated need and develops an individualized package for qualifying students. The Financial Program Priority Date is March 1st. Program applications submitted before March 1st will be eligible to receive an award notification as early as March 15th.
Pay Your Semester Balance – Available March 2025
Paying your semester balance is the last step to getting financially cleared. Once you have been awarded scholarships and financial program amounts, the student accounts team will populate your Populi account with the remaining balance owed.
Financial clearance is required to be able to enroll in classes.
Housing
Finding a Roommate
RoomSync
RoomSync is a platform designed to help you find a compatible roommate for your shared living arrangements this year. RoomSync utilizes a matching algorithm that considers factors such as lifestyle preferences, habits, interests, and social activities to pair students with potential roommates who are likely to be a good fit for you.
How to Set Up Your Account
- Join the Highlands College RoomSync network. This link will be emailed to you once you complete and submit your housing application.
- Set up your Profile Settings by clicking on About Me, Majors, and Social Accounts to fill out your basic information and lifestyle preferences.
- After completing your Profile Settings, you can browse other incoming students’ profiles, check out their mutual interests, and search students based on their name or compatibility.
- Once you find your roommate, you can request them. If someone requests you as a roommate, you can confirm their request. Once you’ve matched with a roommate, you will receive a confirmation email through RoomSync. Our team will be notified of your request and review it for confirmation.
Already have Someone in Mind to be your Roommate?
- After creating your account, select the Find tab.
- Search for your desired roommate’s name. Click View Profile.
- Submit a request and select “I knew (roommate’s name) before RoomSync and they are my preferred roommate.”
What to Bring to Highlands College
Already Provided
Highlands College provides students in the Residence Hall with the following furniture:
- XL Twin height-adjustable bed and mattress
- Wardrobe (36″W X 24″D X 72″H) with hanging rod and two 10-inch shelves
- Desk with rolling storage cabinet (18″W X 24″D X 30″H) and rolling chair
- Ladder Chest (20″W x 40″D x 60″H) with three storage drawers
- One entertainment cabinet per unit with a 3.1 cu ft refrigerator with freezer compartment and 2.0 cu ft microwave
- Room-controlled heating and air
- White shower curtain in every unit
- Washers and dryers are provided in a large, on-site laundry facility.
Essentials to Bring
Students should plan to furnish the following items:
- Mattress protector for a Twin XL mattress
- Bed linens
- Bath linens
- Personal toiletries
- Laundry detergent
Students are permitted, but not required, to bring the following items:
- TV
- Power strip and small extension cord(s)
- Two to three small appliances per room from this approved list.
- Coffee maker (pod based machines only)
- Blender
- Small Air Fryer (Enclosed basket only; toaster oven-style air fryers are not permitted at this time.)
- Our team is currently evaluating additional appliances to expand this list. Only one appliance may be plugged in at a time.
Not Permitted
Highlands College does not permit the following items in the residence hall to ensure a safe, comfortable environment for all residents:
- Large furniture: sofa, love seats, futons, living room chairs, recliners, dressers, dining tables, upholstered furniture, etc.
- Appliances excluded from the approved list above
- Space heater or freestanding air conditioning unit
