Record Enrollment Reflects National Growth and Expanding Reach of America’s Ministry Leadership University

Highlands College, America’s Ministry Leadership University, reached a historic milestone this fall, welcoming the largest incoming class in its history for the 2025-26 academic year.
This fall, 205 freshmen joined the Highlands College family, bringing total enrollment to more than 500 students—a 28% year-over-year increase with an 88% retention rate. Representing 39 states and 64% out-of-state students, this record class reflects the diversity of Highlands College’s expanding national reach and growing reputation for developing leaders of competence and Christian character.
With enrollment on pace to educate 1,000 students by 2029, Highlands College continues advancing its vision to educate, equip, and empower the next generation of leaders for the Church and the world.
The milestone was celebrated earlier this fall when Chancellor Chris Hodges addressed incoming families and the entire student body during a family experience on the first night of Welcome Week. His remarks set the tone for the year, calling students to live with purpose, grow in their faith, and prepare to make an eternal impact through vocational ministry.

“We are thrilled to welcome our largest class ever,” said Chancellor Chris Hodges. “This growth reflects our commitment to providing a transformative educational experience for those called to serve in ministry. We are excited to see how our new facilities and resources will enhance the student experience this year.”
Students are also benefiting from several new campus enhancements designed to elevate spiritual formation and community life, including:
- Larson Knoll: A serene outdoor prayer space created at the request of students, offering an environment for reflection and spiritual growth.
- The Village Expansion: New residence hall buildings and amenities designed to accommodate the growing student body and foster deeper community.
Highlands College continues to advance its vision of educating, equipping, and empowering 1,000 students per year to serve in ministry. With record enrollment, expanded facilities, and a vibrant student community, the college is poised to make a lasting impact in shaping the next generation of ministry leaders.
