As the first residence hall on campus, The Heights offers a traditional college living experience. Overlooking a scenic valley from the highest point on campus, The Heights features fully furnished Primary Rooms for two students, with a twin bed and bed frame, desk and desk chair, chest of drawers, and wardrobe closet per students, as well as shared kitchenettes, communal TV lounges, and complimentary laundry facilities.

The Village offers a modern, apartment-style living experience with fully furnished rooms that include a twin bed and bed frame, a desk and desk chair, a chest of drawers, and a wardrobe closet per student. Deluxe Rooms feature in-room kitchenettes and dining tables while Premier Suites additionally offer in-room laundry and living rooms. The Village includes an on-site fitness facility, community gathering spaces, and the outdoor Village Green with a fire pit and grills.

Specific room and roommate assignments for entering freshmen are made in June/July preceding the start of the fall term. Any questions regarding your housing & roommate assignments should be emailed to housing@highlandscollege.edu by the deadline.
You can request a type of room on your housing application, and you can request to room with a particular person. However, specific room requests depend on availability and entry date of the application, as rooms are allocated on a first come, first serve basis.
Students wanting to change rooms should speak to their assigned Staff Residence Life Coordinator. Requests for room changes are considered but not guaranteed.
Yes! Both residence halls have shared kitchen areas with ovens that students can use. Every room comes equipped with a microwave and mini fridge for your convenience. You’re also welcome to bring an enclosed basket-style air fryer for your room if you’d like a little extra cooking flexibility outside of your provided meal plan!
Laundry facilities are located on the first floor in the east wing of The Heights and in-room at The Village.

RoomSync utilizes a matching algorithm that considers factors such as lifestyle preferences, habits, interests, and social activities to pair you with potential roommates who are likely to be a good fit.
Yes! Each room comes ready with a twin bed and bed frame, a desk and desk chair, a chest of drawers, a wardrobe closet (per student), and kitchenette equipped with a microwave and mini fridge. Students may bring their own décor to be hung with thumb tacks. No outside furniture, including but not limited to futons, recliners and couches, are permitted to be used in the Residence Hall.
