DEAR HIGHLANDS COLLEGE COMMUNITY,
This year has certainly brought new growth throughout Highlands College. We celebrate our largest student body to date, our first-ever senior class, and more graduates placed in full-time ministry positions as the hands and feet of Jesus.
At Highlands College, our students receive hundreds of hours of hands-on training in their field, ensuring they graduate with knowledge and practical experience that equips them for a lifetime of ministry. Our esteemed Academy Model and Four Pillars—Academic Instruction, Ministry Training, Character Formation, and Spiritual Development—provide a holistic approach unparalleled in biblical higher education. We believe in developing the whole student—spirit, soul, and body—so they can step into their calling fully prepared to be laborers of the Gospel in the harvest field.
As Chancellor, I am more passionate than ever about stewarding this generation into fulfilling the Great Commission. We are committed to raising leaders who are transformed from the inside out by the power of the Holy Spirit—leaders who will, in turn, transform the world.
A key part of our mission is ensuring education remains financially accessible and Kingdom-funded, removing barriers so graduates can step into ministry fully equipped to make an immediate impact. By refusing to accept a penny of government funding, we keep our values true to the core of God’s inerrant and infallible Word. We protect the integrity of our mission, ensuring that every student can step into ministry without financial burden and remain focused on their divine calling.
As you read this edition of the Highlands College Magazine, I hope you see how God is undeniably at work transforming families, communities, and students’ lives through America’s Ministry Leadership University.
I pray that through these stories, the God of hope fills you with all joy and peace as you believe so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit (Romans 15:13).
Sincerely,
Chris Hodges
Chancellor
