In February 2001, with a bold vision to reach the people of Birmingham, Alabama, Pastor Chris Hodges planted one of the most influential churches in America—Church of the Highlands. With just 34 people on the original launch team and the first service held in a local high school, what followed was miraculous.
Church of the Highlands quickly became known for its passionate worship, relevant teaching, and vibrant small groups. Its growth was rapid but intentional—each new campus launch and ministry initiative was rooted deeply in a desire to help people know God, find freedom, discover purpose, and make a difference.
