When I think about the students who step onto the campus of Highlands College, I think of their dreams to answer Jesus’ heart cry in Luke 10:2: to fulfill the Great Commission by serving others and building the Church. Serving on the frontlines of finance and operations at Highlands College, our team is committed to helping students achieve their God-sized dreams.

Highlands College has an intentional and missional financial model because every student called here should have a clear and supported path to remain here.

We’ve intentionally chosen to stay rooted in our biblical values and mission by refusing government funding. Instead, we rely on the generous support of donors, churches, and ministry partners—people who believe in the eternal impact these students will make— to create a radically generous, uniquely personal space that remains deeply anchored in the values and teachings of the Word of God.

Highlands College is unique in biblical higher education because our Finance Team offers tools beyond tuition invoices and pre-set scholarship packages. We consider finance and operations to be a relational ministry. We meet with families, we listen, and we pray. We walk parents and students through options and resources. Whether it’s our Financial Program—customized to fit unique family circumstances—or financial coaching to help students budget and steward wisely, we are committed to developing real, understanding, and supportive relationships with our students and their families.

We know the road to college can feel overwhelming. I’ve talked to parents who are anxious about how to fund their child’s calling and students who wonder if they can afford to follow God’s direction. The weight is real, so our commitment to walk every step of that journey with them must also be.

Every student accepted to Highlands College receives a scholarship because we see their acceptance as our invitation to invest in them. These scholarships are tailored to the student—reflecting academic achievement, leadership, service, and demonstrated financial need—allowing them the opportunity to graduate with little to no debt so they can run full speed into the harvest field of ministry, unencumbered by financial burdens and full of faith for the path ahead.

The model we’ve created at Highlands College is only possible because of the remarkable generosity of donors and ministry partners who see what we see: a generation of students called to build the Kingdom of God. Every dollar given to Highlands College is a seed sown into that future. It funds scholarships. It supports discipleship. It opens doors for students who are ready to say “yes” to God—but need a community to help them take that first step.

We believe that when barriers fall, opportunities rise. Our financial model exists to fund education and release the next generation of leaders into ministry with the freedom and confidence to step boldly into the harvest field.
