THE HIGHLANDS COLLEGE FAMILY gathered to celebrate the sacred moment of Commencement—the commissioning of our graduates into their callings. These graduates have answered the call of God and are ready to lead lives of eternal impact, sent into the world to carry the mission of God forward.
We honor the Class of 2025—this milestone marks a powerful beginning to their ministry journeys. While many students of the same academic class are continuing their education through the College’s recently offered bachelor’s degrees—entering this fall as the first senior class at Highlands College—students have completed their associate degrees and have decided to step boldly across the stage at graduation into their next assignment.
This year, the Highlands College undergraduates had a combined ceremony with certificate recipients from Highlands College Leadership Institute (HCLI)—ministry leadership education in the form of night classes for working adults and seasoned leaders to expand their impact. All 160 students were celebrated for their commitment and faithfulness in their respective paths. While the undergraduate students were honored for persevering through rigorous academic study, spiritual formation, and practical ministry training, HCLI graduates were recognized for their dedication to growing as ministry leaders while balancing the responsibilities of life and leadership.
Dr. Nido Qubein, High Point University President, was welcomed back to Highlands College, this time as the 2025 Commencement speaker. A respected leader and cherished friend of Chancellor Chris Hodges, Dr. Qubein brought a message of wisdom and inspiration that marked Commencement as a moment of clear vision and ignited purpose for graduates.
It’s an honor to cheer on the students who have been invested in and prayed over for the past two years. We know seeds have been planted, and God will be faithful to bear the fruit. Graduates—the best is yet to come! ■
