THIS SPRING MARKED the launch of a new and meaningful tradition at Highlands College: our very first Family Weekend. Created as a special space for connection, inspiration, and celebration, we opened the doors of our campus—and our hearts—to the families who stand faithfully behind each student’s journey.

Throughout the weekend, families stepped into the rhythm of student life and witnessed transformation firsthand. From the growth in spiritual depth and academic excellence to the development of Christ-centered leadership, it was a front-row seat to all God is doing in and through our students.

A sense of joy and warmth permeated the weekend as vibrant gatherings gave way to heartfelt moments of reflection. Parents and loved ones spent meaningful time with faculty, worshiped alongside their students, and celebrated the growth unfolding in this season, including proudly cheering them on as they ran the 10K, half-marathon, and marathon races designed to challenge their endurance and shape their character. These intentional few days weren’t just a campus visit but sacred moments of alignment, connection, and shared vision.

At its core, Family Weekend is more than an event; it’s a reminder that no student walks this journey alone. Behind every milestone and moment is a network of encouragement, prayer, and unwavering belief. Our families are, and always will be, essential to the mission of Highlands College.

As this new tradition begins, we look forward with hope and expectation. God is using this community—students, staff, and families alike—to raise up the next generation of leaders who will change the world. And we believe wholeheartedly that the best is truly yet to come. ■
